Raslouw Academy works with a network of therapists in order to approach each learner's special needs in a holistic way. The team consists of occupational therapists, speech therapists, physiotherapists as well as psychiatrists and psychologists.
Nicola Spurr is a registered counsellor and therapist at the school. She assists with scholastic, emotional or social backlogs.
Students from the University of Pretoria are often placed at the school to complete their internship and provide extra support under supervision.
The school provides aftercare facilities to parents who are unable to pick up their children immediately at the end of the school day. Balanced meals are provided to the learners to keep their minds focused.
During the aftercare session, the students have the opportunity to finish their homework. Aftercare facilitators are available to supervise and work is done in a structured environment. On completion of any homework assignments, the children engage in fun activities.
The school has two minibuses that provide learners with transportation to and from the school. We cover the route from Pretoria East to Raslouw and Midrand to Raslouw. There are drop-off and pickup points along the route and supervision is provided while on the buses.
The bus service is charged at an additional fee and limited space is available.
